CHRISTMAS, BETTER LATE THAN...

Witt is still at home and growing stronger each day. He needs a little oxygen to keep his levels up and we hope to get him off that when he is ready. Melanie, Austan and Witt have recently taken advantage of the nice weather and been on the road in the stroller. Witt has been busy this month celebrating a late Christmas with the whole family on January 10th. Since we were all at the hospital on Christmas Day, the big family Christmas was a great opportunity to get everyone together again.

On Monday, Witt is getting a recheck at the cardiologist to be sure there aren't any changes, which we don't expect there to be. His personality is so shining through nowadays. His strong will and love for food certainly make you realize very quickly that he is hungry. Witt likes his time with Mom and Dad too. But most of all Witt loves all the attention he gets from friends and family that send the family comments on his blog. Thanks everyone!

We pray for baby Witt daily. My daughter was diagnosed at birth with cystic fibrosis. I empathize with all the mixed emotions that come with a new baby and a "surprise" diagnosis. But our mighty God was not surprised when these precious babies came into this world! I have claimed several scriptures over Sophie, but this is one of my favorites:
Jeremiah 17:14
"Heal me, O Lord and I will be healed. Save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."
Your precious family praises our Lord with every prayer, blog entry, and thought for your sweet Witt. It is so awesome when I read your constant declarations of WHO GOD IS! Not only what He can do, but WHO HE IS! Praise the Lord! It is so refreshing, and such a faith booster to share in your story and your faith. I have encountered so many people (most are friends of ours) who have "limited" God and how he heals today. We are believing God for a miracle for our Sophie, and for your Witt! All for His glory! I have grown to love your family. Many blessings in the coming year.
Love,

Great to hear that Witt is doing really well at home. He is such a cutie. Please know that God will be with you thru this journey. My son was diagnosed with a heart issue at birth, turning to God was my saviour. He is now 4 1/2 and doing awesome. Continued prayers for your sweet boy.
